CHILDHOOD frustration

Guillermo always give his family a promise which he could not furnish himself.

 

I could still remember I was only 8 years old when he arrived home from abroad.

Gave me a toy, though it’s not expensive and not a brand new one, I still accepted

It and play with them often times coz’ it’s my father’s gift. He also gave me a talking watch. Most of his present that he got was actually his boss child’s toys.

At my very young age I felt my dad has no enough money to buy us brand new toys and a better present that he could give to his children and even a chocolate candies from abroad or in Duty free. That’s why I let my self understand him.

 

When he returned Abroad at that same year he promised me to buy a bicycle, and a motor cycle for my bro. I waited so long for that bike to come. But well I guess my dad has forgotten his promised already. I expected a bicycle, but no bike came until my birthday.

I even tell my cousins that soon I would own a bike too and would let them borrow it from me coz’ we really love cycling!

One late afternoon, my dad made a call to my mom and I talked to him also.

I asked him to buy me the latest edition of the Nintendo game boy as a substitute of the bicycle which he promised to give me before. I asked this for my birthday and he agreed!

I was happy and really excited, can’t wait to see and play with it!!! I couldn’t even sleep well thinking for it.

Until days, months, a year has passed… NO game boy presented on me.

When he arrived from abroad again, as a substitute to that game boy which I asked him to give me, He instead gave me a break game! Hahahaha one from my bro and to my sis!

It’s not a colored though! It has a huge silly tackling sound! I was really disappointed this time! But still got to love the toy!
